The holiday season is magical, but it can also be a lot.
Between shopping lists, social events, and never-ending to-dos, it’s easy to get swept up in the chaos and forget to take care of ourselves.
That’s exactly why I created this Self Care Advent Calendar, a simple and feel-good way to slow down and savor the season. Each day offers one small but meaningful prompt to help you nurture yourself, connect with others, and bring a little more joy and calm into your December.
You can follow it day by day, mix them up, or just use it as inspiration when you need a reset.
Let’s make this Christmas about presence, not perfection.

25 Days of Holiday Self Care
1. Treat Yourself. Do something that always gets you into the holiday spirit.
2. Let Go of Expectations. Forget what you’re “supposed to do.” Focus on what truly brings you joy.
3. Connect. Call, text, or FaceTime a friend or family member.
4. Get Cozy. Grab your favorite hot drink, a soft blanket, and curl up by the fire.
5. Nourish Your Body. Hydrate, move a little, and make (mostly) healthy choices.
6. Go Outside. Bundle up for a mindful winter walk. Notice what you see, smell, and hear.
7. Give Back. Donate clothes or toys, shop local, or volunteer in your community.
8. Laugh. Pull out those ugly Christmas sweaters, funny movies, or dad jokes for a boost of endorphins.
9. Slow Down. Make time for rest, take a nap, or pause for a few deep breaths.
10. Practice Mindfulness. Meditate, use positive self-talk, or check in with your emotions.
11. Get Festive. Decorate, go shopping, see Santa, or make gingerbread houses.
12. Plan Downtime. Spend the afternoon watching Hallmark movies or reading a good book.
13. Pamper Yourself. Light candles, take a long bath, or treat yourself to that fancy coffee.
14. Ask for Help. Let someone lighten your load, ask your boss for a longer lunch or a friend to help wrap gifts.
15. Do a Random Act of Kindness. Pay for a stranger’s meal, hold the door, or pick up trash.
16. Get Grateful. List the things you’re thankful for this holiday season.
17. Get Creative. Try a new recipe, decorate your mantle, or sign up for a wreath-making class.
18. Be a Light. Send a note of encouragement to someone who needs it.
19. Celebrate Your Wins. Big or small, recognize your accomplishments.
20. Go Screen Free. Put your phone away and focus on being fully present.
21. Preserve Your Holiday Memories. Capture them in a journal, scrapbook, or on social media.
22. Create a New Tradition. Drive around to see Christmas lights, make ornaments, or have a baking night.
23. Spend Time in Your Faith. Reflect, pray, or connect spiritually in whatever way feels right to you.
24. Reflect. Notice what brought you stress and what brought you joy this season.
25. Merry Christmas! Take a deep breath and simply enjoy the day.
Bonus: Dream about the year ahead. What would bring you more joy and success?
